Canberra Region Presbytery is hosting Talanoa Oceania, an international conference, on November 9-11 at Pilgrim House, Northbourne Avenue, Canberra City and at the Australian National University.

The Talanoa Oceania conference provides a platform for inter-disciplinary research on historical and contemporary issues relating to Oceania and its people, including the first peoples of Australia and New Zealand. Previous conferences have been held at Uniting Theological College, Sydney, at University of Auckland and Massey University in Auckland.

Student accommodation vacancy

Canberra City Uniting Church has leased a house in Campbell, North Canberra providing Christian tertiary students with the opportunity for safe and affordable accommodation.  The aim is to create an intentional Christian community which would be supported by mentoring from church members.  Students are encouraged to engage in the life of the Uniting Church.

There are currently five residents, but one or more positions will become vacant at the house by end June, and we are inviting applications from interested students.  Further information and an application form can be obtained from the church’s website at http://www.canberracityuca.org.au/html/student_housing.html  Applications should be made in writing using the form available on the City Church website, and sent to ccuchousing at gmail.com

Tertiary accommodation – Canberra City Uniting

Canberra City Uniting Church has leased a house in Campbell, North Canberra providing Christian tertiary students with the opportunity for safe and affordable accommodation. The aim is to create an intentional Christian community which would be supported by mentoring from church members. Students are encouraged to engage in the life of the Uniting Church.

There are currently four residents, and a fifth position has become vacant at the house. We are inviting applications from interested students. The aim is to create an intentional Christian community which would be supported by mentoring from church members. Students would be encouraged to engage in the life of the Uniting Church.
