14th Assembly – Day 6 (Friday 17 July 2015)

Assembly begins today with Communion, Worship, and Bible Study (today facilitated by Dr Rosemary Dewerse).

ASC Proposals are considered; Agencies proposals are taken.

Overseas visitors have their say.

Synod and Presbytery Proposals are made and considered.

Late afternoon, Declaration of Ballots.

Evening: This session will allow the Presbytery of WA to conduct the ordination of two members of Congress. Members of the Assembly are invited to join in this significant event in the life of Congress and the Presbytery of WA.

Another 11 1/2 hour day for members.

14th Assembly – Day 5 (Thursday 16 July 2015)

Assembly begins today with Communion, Worship and Bible Study.

ASC Proposals are considered; Agencies make reports, responses to questions raised in earlier sessions.

Early afternoon, there is a Ballot for President elect (2nd ballot if required).

Beneficiary Fund will Report; Agencies make reports, responses to questions raised in earlier sessions.

Declaration of ballot for President-Elect: Dr Deidre Palmer.

ASC Proposals will be considered.

Evening: Cato Lecture (Rev Dr Lin)

Another 11 1/2 hour day for members.

14th Assembly – Day 4 (Wednesday 15 July 2015)

On this day, the Assembly begins with Communion, Worship and Bible Study.

Working Group feedback is given; ASC Proposals are again under consideration; Assembly members have a second session to engage with Agencies around their reports.

There will be a Dinner for Ecumenical and Overseas Guests.

This will only be a 10 1/2 hour day.

14th Assembly – Day 3 (Tuesday 14 July 2015)

On this day, the Assembly begins with Communion, Worship and Bible Study.

The General Secretary is appointed; Working Group feedback is given; the NCYC 2017 team presents its ideas; and, the nominees for President–elect and introduced.

Assembly members have a first session to engage with Agencies around their reports. Community Working Groups have another session to consider proposals. ASC Proposals end another 11 1/2 hour day.

14th Assembly – Day 2 (13 July 2015)

A busy first day for the new President, Stuart McMillan, starts with a worship session, then the Assembly Standing Committee (ASC) presents its report and later some proposals.

Visitors from overseas are welcomed just before lunch.

The Retiring President’s Report is then received, and an Appreciation of the ex President is presented.

ASC proposals continue, then Assembly Agency reports are received.

Community Working Groups again meet to consider various matters, then, after dinner, the Uniting Aboriginal & Islander Consultative Committee (UAICC) Report and Covenanting Group Report are received.

11 1/2 hours for the first ‘full’ day of Assembly!
