From Kay Killick –
Time is running out to prepare yourself for a big afternoon at the Bateman’s Bay Uniting Church, Cnr Catlin Ave & Beach Rd on SUNDAY, MARCH 25 at 2:00 pm.
That’s right the Bateman’s Bay Variety Concert is back bigger and better than ever. The dazzling line up offers something for every one. Richo’s Ragtime Band offers just that – ragtime jazz to get you moving in your seat. As befits a Sunday afternoon the Rusty Pipes will enter the barbershop and sing songs that will soothe the soul. Local actor, Andrew Pond plans to step out of the limelight to do a vocal or two. The Coastal Bootscooters will shake their things and award-winning author Hunter Calder will read from his forthcoming memoirs.
And if that isn’t enough for you, the legendary afternoon tea will provide food for the soul.
A donation of $10 will be gratefully accepted. Proceeds go to 4 yr old Annabelle Potts’ ongoing treatment in Mexico for an inoperable brain tumour, and the fund for struggling farmers at Longreach. And to tie this all together is the familiar face of emcee Kay Killick to ensure nothing gets out of hand. So front up with a happy face and a warm heart – it is guaranteed to be warmer as the afternoon goes on. Enquiries: Kay Killick 4471 7600.
