“It is a very important time for leadership development in our church across the whole community. Please take the time to encourage someone you know to attend the next Leadership Intensive, building hope and capacity to deal with the challenges we face.” Peter and Sue Kaldor
Peter and Sue Kaldor, members of the Uniting Mission and Education (UME) Resourcing Team, NSW/ACT Synod of the Uniting Church in Australia run leadership workshops, provide coaching and supervision for Uniting Church leaders, and work collaboratively with others to develop Uniting Church capacity for leadership development. They now invite us to:
Autumn 2017: 9-10 March, 30-31 March, 4-5 May
This 6 day leadership course is the result of a creative partnership in 2015 – 2016 between New River Leadership and the Uniting Church, joined by Uniting and United Voice and some individuals from other organisations to run a pilot 6 day program based on many years of previous experience running such programs. Participant feedback was very positive demonstrating the possibilities of diverse group learning and building trust together.
The course is held over three 2-day gatherings across the greater Sydney region.
It is a multidimensional learning experience involving: site visits, experiential learning and preparatory readings. It is run by: skilled, empathic facilitators with guest speakers sharing their stories, drawing on leadership and change theory, positive psychology, community engagement, coaching and personal development thinking. The course will suit a wide range of practitioners.
The cost for the full 6-day course is $2,000 (plus GST) per person for participants who work for UCA NSW and ACT Synod, and Uniting staff. Scholarships to support participants are also available.
