The Yarralumla Midwinter Show is one of Canberra’s favourite art and craft events featuring local artisans. A staple on the Canberra calendar, the show has been delighting visitors for over 35 years with a large array of art and craft, food and entertainment.
The event showcases the work of local craft workers and artists and the funds raised support vital community programs. Recipients last year included Sids for Kids, Companion House, Canberra Refugee Support, Paperworks inc, Kairos Outside and Caring for Kiriwina.
The opening times for the show are:
• Fri 23 June 10.00 am to 8.00 pm
• Sat 24 June 10.00 am to 5.00 pm
• Sun 25 June 12.00 noon to 5.00 pm
The venue for the show is the Yarralumla Uniting Church Centre on Denman St in Yarralumla.
The show will be officially opened at 6.00pm on Friday followed by a fashion show featuring designs exhibited at the show. A great way to spend time out of the cold Canberra weather, the show offers much to see and buy, spectacular entertainment and delicious refreshments. There will be concerts throughout the day on Saturday and on Sunday afternoon. Performers coming to this year’s show include Lady’s Mantle, Rhythm Syndicate and Young at Heart Music Makers.
