Hazel Leano is the Administration Officer of the Uniting Aboriginal & Islander Christian Congress, Synod of NSW.ACT. Hazel writes:

The ‘Walking on Bundjalung Country’ project arose from the ‘Renewing our Church’ conversations at the Synod meeting held earlier this year. The planning team, made up of Congress members and its supporters, have collaborated to provide a cultural exposure bus tour where non-Indigenous people will have opportunity to meet and learn from Bundjalung members of UAICC NSW/ACT by visiting them on country in the Northern Rivers region of NSW. The theme ‘Making Time and Space for First Peoples’ Wisdom’ will allow people to learn firsthand from our hosts about their culture and stories in their own space and time.

We would like to warmly invite you to share this experience of learning and forming relationships with one another.
