On Sunday 27 November 2016 – the first Sunday of Advent, the Uniting Church called for us to find a better way for refugees. Congregations were encouraged to write to our political leaders to let them know that “We can do better”. Queanbeyan Uniting Church did just this – they wrote to local member Mike Kelly, with the below collage of photos of congregation members expressing their hope for a better way. WE CAN DO BETTER
It is not too late for other congregations or individuals to get involved. Together, our voices can register a clarion call to find a better and more compassionate way for refugees and people seeking asylum.
