Canberra Region Presbytery is hosting Talanoa Oceania, an international conference, on November 9-11 at Pilgrim House, Northbourne Avenue, Canberra City and at the Australian National University.
The Talanoa Oceania conference provides a platform for inter-disciplinary research on historical and contemporary issues relating to Oceania and its people, including the first peoples of Australia and New Zealand. Previous conferences have been held at Uniting Theological College, Sydney, at University of Auckland and Massey University in Auckland.
In 2012, the 5th annual conference is being hosted on the land of the Ngunnawal people in Canberra. The theme for Talanoa 2012 is Come, Learn and Live. Canberra Region is offering ten sponsored spaces for students to attend.
