Safe Church Workshops are interactive and provide time for group discussions and working with scenarios to help process the information and resources presented. All participants will also receive a workshop manual to keep and all congregation resources can be downloaded in soft copy from the Synod Children’s Ministry Website ‘“ www.childrensministry.org.au/safety-and-protection . The cost is just $15 per person and this can be paid by the participant or the participant’s congregation.

Topics covered as part of the workshop include:
# Child protection
# Protecting vulnerable people
# Duty of care and accountability
# Understanding and responding to abuse
# Protective behaviours
# Safe leadership strategies
# Safety in programs and environments
