The ACT Writers Centre and the National Library are hosting a workshop and public lecture on Saturday 5 February, featuring Sydney writer Stephanie Dowrick. Stephanie is the author of “Seeking the Sacred: Transforming our view of ourselves and one another“, published by Allen & Unwin.
The workshop (which unfortunately is full), “Exploring our spiritual stories”, run at the National Library, 10 to 1 pm, will invite participants to reflect on their own key rites of passage, crossroad moments and most powerful influences.
At 2 pm Stephanie will provide a free lecture, “Insight and Inspiration”, exploring the many ways reading and writing can offer us insight and inspiration. Book through the National Library by phoning 6262 1271.
Stephanie’s work was featured in the Canberra Times on Saturday January 29, and can be found online at www.stephaniedowrick.com, Facebook and Twitter. She is heavily involved in interfaith conversation and runs interfaith gatherings at Pitt St Uniting Church in Sydney.
